How to Read a Data Plate

Every lift truck must have a nameplate securely attached and legible. This is because it contains vital information about the truck's capacity. If the lift truck is modified in any way or has an attachment added, the nameplate must be updated by the original manufacturer of the lift truck.

Below are two examples of a nameplate and descriptions of how to read the information provided. One nameplate is for an internal combustion powered truck and the other is for an electric powered model.
